Captive tiger release

Martin, an 8-year-old Bengal tiger, is released at LionsRock Wildlife Sanctuary near Bethlehem, some 350km south of Johannesburg, South Africa, 8 February 2011. Rescued from a Bulgarian zoo, the tiger was transported to South Africa by Four Paws, an organization based in Vienna, Austria, that is dedicated to alleviating the suffering of mistreated animals. LionsRock provides a home for nearly 80 lions and three tigers, as well as numerous other big cats and game animals. Martin, who weighs more than 250 kilograms, was released into an outdoor enclosure.
